A short video with a few tips on car accident preparedness. Potentially preventing a minor fender bender or police traffic from growing into something more than it has to be. With a few index cards prepared in advance and knowing what to do, we may be able to keep a bad incident from becoming worse.
I start the video by discussing the money I saved this year by shopping for a better deal on homeowners and auto insurance. Although it was unnecessary and unrelated to accident preparedness, I was excited to share the savings.
Car Accident Preparedness Kit
I’ve prepared several index cards, which I keep in each of our vehicles, for a minor fender bender or traffic stop. These cards are part of my minor fender bender and car accident preparedness kit.
The idea here is to:
gain as much information as needed without giving away too much of your personal information to a complete stranger.
serve as a reminder of what not to say in a traffic accident.
have everything prepared in advance in order to limit stress when adrenaline and emotions are high.
Check out the car registration and insurance card holder(Aff) I’m using, but as I mentioned, a simple envelope and piece of paper will work just as well.
Don’t forget your pen.
